I wouldn’t be surprised if Bhaamut somehow manipulated events for Insomnia to fall to push Noctis, and allowed Lunafreya, the Oracle, to be killed by Ardyn just to push Noctis into a corner, letting his guilt overtake him to a point where he would pay any price to make those “sacrifices” mean something.
Titan took it upon himself to appear and defend the two both against one of his fellow Astrals, then against the Imperial fleet.
Maybe this is the result of bad writing, but it is what it is. He still made the choice in the end, he is still at fault. Ramuh, being the most commonly summoned of them for seemingly everybody, has little in the way of story, yet given that you never have to fight him and he’s so eager to appear to help the party, even if it’s just the mechanics of the summoning system, seems to suggest that he’s very much on the side of Noctis, whose mission is to save the planet, and ultimately, the people who live there.
I doubt it’s corrupt or anything.
I have thought of the possibility of the Crystal being corrupt itself, probably either from its creation, or at some point after by an evil spirit or something like that, in which case, Bahamut might be the one being manipulated. What if the Daemon pulled the young prince into the depths of the ocean?
So much for the gods’ assertions that humans can’t get the bigger picture! There is nothing there to suggest he cares about humans, certainly ffvx because “he shows up more than the other Astrals” when it’s clear that’s purely just a game mechanism.
During the game, Shiva doesn’t really come off as caring “about humanity”, even though they try to tell us otherwise. Either way, Noctis will have to learn the truth sometime! When the boy turns twenty, Bahamuth sets off on his quest to complete his curse. Since time immemorial, they have watched over Eos.

Please consider turning it on! She can say she does, but actions always speak louder than words. Nine-year-old Noctis Lucis Caelum, the bhamut apparent and crown prince to the throne of Lucis, ffcv has one thing on his mind; the trip to Leide his Uncle Cor had promised him. Noct and Luna deserved better than this, and I imagine Noct will be like, “You were wrong! Sometimes it takes little, a good deed or light to awaken and heal a man and change the fate that someone has already decided.
So, there’s not much going on with her caring about humans. Noctis will travel to stop the curse and Bahamuth, along with his friends.
If they want him of all people to bow, they will have to all but kill him. You could say, diamonds in the rough. Filled with strong OCs helping out canon, romance, tension, comedy and a gold-klepto tarot- One thing is certain: Bahamut is very clearly indifferent to the plight of humanity, simply using Noctis to end the daemon threat to Eos itself, giving him no option but to pay the blood price.

It was winter and it didn’t take much to give them cover. Ardyn did say Bahakut demonized him, and I think it’s possible that Somnus is, himself, a fcxv on a higher level than even Bahamut, using the gods’ trust in the Lucian bloodline to his advantage, and must be thinking of eliminating the Astrals as well as the Starscourge, thinking they are wrong to put the existence of the planet itself over it’s inhabitants, which dfxv us to Ifrit’s actions that forever darkened Somnus’ views on the Astrals.
Even after everything that happened, she eventually came back to embracing the humans. Noct fishes to stave off boredom in the Afterlife, but something just doesn’t feel right. In other words, Bahamut may have been instructed to heal Ardyn’s corruption, but instead went and pushed Ardyn off the proverbial cliff into madness, and the Draconian may have secretly manipulated the people of Solheim into denouncing the Astrals as an excuse to discourage them from following Ifrit’s formerly benevolent example.
Log In Sign Up. This theory reminds me a lot of Bravely Default’s backstory. Some descriptions that confirmed or expanded on FFXV lore. Ifrit betrayed the rest of the Astrals and started the Starscourge, a plague that turns life forms into daemons and gradually eats away daylight bahamutt the world.
