Superpole graphics The Superpole graphic of the Tuono V4 Factory has that decidedly non-conformist spirit so typical of the Aprilia stylistic tradition that demands bright and very distinctive colors. Happy plodding round town or ripping it up on the track more power than most of us mere mortals will ever need, oodles of torque everywhere happy in 4th gear from one hell of a twist and go which it pretty much is with the blipper you only need to use the clutch to pull away. The upper half of the engine case is now made with shell casting and has been lightened and reinforced; it also now has an optimised ventilation system in order to reduce power loss due to the internal pumping of the crankcase chambers. Bought from a dealer I’ve used before. Got a great price trading in my 16 against the new one. Overall Rating 5 out of 5 With its new big-bore V4 engine, comfy riding position and handling tweaks, the Tuono V4 RR is nothing short of sensational. On the freeway it gets pretty windy above km but you can duck down behind the windshield for a bit of protection.

The bike retains Aprilia Performance Ride Control, the most sophisticated set of rider aiding electronics yet. Problem is this type of bikes remain a compromise. Engine intermittently high revving on its own, engine sounding like a bag of gravel. The 17 spec is just sublime super comfy seat and nice upright position miles a day with no problems yo cant go much over a miles without having to stop for fuel so you never get numb bum.


Aprilia Wheelie Control ,with 3 selectable settings, has been recalibrated to be even more sporty in map 1, whilst still guaranteeing a slight lift in quick acceleration and subsequent smoother descent of the front wheel to the tarmac.

APRILIA TUONO V4 1100 RR (2015-on) Review

The model omitted from MCN review info was given a few tweaks fuel map, monoblock Brembo front calipers slightly larger tank, some electronic wizardry huono a softer more comfy seat and was available in black or white. Best of all is the V4 soundtrack utterly addictive and best with a non stock can!

It sums up what a tukno naked should be: I had a pretty significant front-end slide while filming that apparently looked more dramatic to Jamie behind me than it felt from onboard. The rev limit is set at 12,rpm. The running costs are about average for an engine this size, although it is a new bike so too early to say really. The cast aluminium wheel rims are the same for both models: The first three ratios in the cassette gearbox are shorter and it still has a slipper clutch.

Buying experience Bought from a dealer I’ve used before. Based on V4R, with a bigger engine, more power and torque, refined electronics, tweaked geometry, a 4mm longer swingarm, a comfier riding position with a softer seat, narrower bars and a more aerodynamic fairing.


Tuon hand tuobo 2 years. The electronics package now incorporates a pitch sensor lean and yaw previously. It accelerates and decelerates literally guono fast as you want on the road and handles effortlessly around corners.

Factory version also available. The ride quality is great and the brakes work fine. The seat is comfortable enough on journeys up to two hours, I would not recommend the bike for touring or commuting, but this is not what the bike is about. Tuoono quality of the components used are high, Aprilia have added a new full colour TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity, plus new switchgear — there is an exclusive feel to the Tuono. It’s like a 22 years old beauty, with brains.

The pegs are high for a naked bike which is good for cornering tuuono does not affect comfort. It comes with Ohlins forks, shock Great engine and electronic toys but real pity about reliability and fuel economy. Valve clearances naffed at km. The engine gets very hot in slow traffic and a lot of heat gets passed onto your ankles.

There are no big changes, chassis-wise, but the old Tuono was always agile, stable and confidence-inspiring when ridden hard.

It all adds up to a free-revving, grunt-fest. I also got this bike just over a week ago and its amazing the sound is to die for hope not do not test ride one lol. Tupno acts on both wheels to guarantee the best possible performance, even in the most intense braking conditions at any speed.
